Make the Right Choices for your Well-being

Our lives are filled with choices all day long. What do I wear today? How do I deal with my neighbor or co-worker today? What should I prepare for meals today or what restaurant should I go to? All these choices and the decisions we make affect how we feel. Some are short lived, while others build character and long term healthy habits. Both are positive and important in our lives. We need to reward ourselves with things we want but be sure and associate the reward with a long term positive change. Psychology Today printed an article about What makes someone happy. One of the major factors discussed was self-esteem. It stated that people with an abundant self-love are less likely to be depressed, lonely or anxious. Another very important factor was comparisons with your neighbor. If you believe you are better off than your neighbor it has an influence on your state of mind. Other major factors were friendships and active leisure time.

Summing it all up tells us that if we build quality relationships, keep active with our leisure time and create healthy habits then reward ourselves for these accomplishments we will be happy and our well-being will be satisfied.
